Sometimes when we go outside first thing in the morning, we Scotties like to sit on the deck and check out what’s going on around us. We listen for other dogs in the neighborhood and for birds during the warm months and we are always on the lookout for bird and squirrel intruders. It’s our version of an early morning watch over our territory, because we Scotties are in charge of defending our home. Okay, and maybe we’re just plain nosy!
