Yesterday was my lucky day, because it was my turn to go along on a trip to the mountains. Our original plan was to ride the water taxi at Lake Dillon and do some geocaching, but when we got to the lake, not only was it raining pretty hard, but the water taxi wasn’t running, so Wen and her friend decided on a “plan B,” which was to drive to Breckenridge and explore the downtown area.
After a brief stop in Frisco, we arrived in Breckenridge and the weather conditions began to improve as the clouds were breaking up and the rain was starting to lessen, just in time for some downtown geocaching, shopping, and lunch.
The afternoon flew by and after we spent time by the river taking pictures and I got to nose around a little, it was time to head home.
It’s always fun to go on a day trip, especially when someone buys you a big home-made dog biscuit! Even with the rain, we had a good time and I can’t wait for our next outing, which will hopefully happen soon. (Just a reminder: all three of us Scotties haven’t been on a trip together in a little while—hint, hint!)
