Stressful and Chaotic

Years ago, the Petsmart near Wen’s house had a pet photography area in the middle of the store.  They had a large booth with a platform and various backdrops and you could even include family members in the photos with your pets.

Wen had used them for portraits of her two Scotties, Corky and Duffy, and they had turned out really well, so she decided to have a group portrait taken as a Christmas gift for her boyfriend of his son, his Golden Retriever, Corky, and Duffy.

On the scheduled day, Wen and her entourage (one boy and three dogs) showed up at Petsmart for their photo session and the photographer posed them on the platform in front of a festive homey Christmas backdrop.  As soon as she started snapping pictures, all three dogs became restless and one by one, they broke their pose and jumped down onto the floor to make a run for it.

Wen desperately tried to help the photographer arrange the dogs on the platform long enough to get a good shot, but that was proving to be no easy task.  They tried to get the dogs’ attention with squeaky toys and by calling their names, but getting one boy and three dogs to look at the camera all at once was seeming impossible.  By that time, both Wen and the photographer were sweating profusely and practically at their wits’ end when all of a sudden, smoke poured out of the camera.  Evidently, they had taken so many shots in the last forty-five minutes that they had broken the camera, so the photo session was forced to end abruptly.

Wen reviewed the photos on the computer with the frazzled photographer and fortunately, there was one decent photo to use for the Christmas gift.

It had certainly been a day to remember as the most stressful and chaotic photo session ever and also the day they broke the camera at Petsmart.
