About a year after Buffy arrived, Wen went to check out the grand opening of a shopping mall pet store and what did she see? No, it surely wasn’t. Could it possibly be? Yes, it was—–a wheaten Scottie puppy! Wen had never seen one other than in books and in magazines, so of course she called her husband and after he arrived and took one look, they took the puppy home.
She was a very light wheaten color (almost white), so Wen named her “Frosty” (actually, “Frostianna”) and she was a cutie pie!
Frosty had a sweet personality and she got along perfectly with both Casey and Buffy. She followed Buffy around as if she were her mother and whatever Buffy would do, Frosty would do too.
Eventually, Frosty was nicknamed “Poo” and she remained “Poo” or “Pooey” for the rest of her life. People assumed that she was a Westie since wheaten Scotties were very rare at the time and she and Casey made quite the attractive black and white pair, like the “Black & White” scotch whisky label and vintage ads. There was only one thing: POO WAS A SCOTTIE!
Casey, Buffy, and Pooey became the best of friends and the trio would be the “Three Musketeers” for years to come.
