Yesterday was my birthday and I am now a whole two years old. (Where did the time go?!)
For a really special treat, Wen took me for a car ride and we stopped at Unleashed by Petco, our neighborhood pet store, where I got to go in and go shopping. We went up and down the aisles, checking out the dog supplies and then I got treats and pets from the nice ladies who work there.
After we made our selections, we went back home with a big bag full of birthday goodies. Wen said that it was a successful outing because I behaved myself both in the car and at the store when I met strangers. (Okay, I might have growled at one guy who was walking down the street as we drove by. Other than that though, I was fine.)
Back at home, Sunny, Molly, and I sampled the freeze-dried liver treats that Wen bought and we all tried out the new toys. We also shared a huge bone-shaped cookie with our evening meal. It was so large that even split three ways, we each got a big piece!
Since none of us had ever seen a balloon, Wen put three of them on the living room floor and we pushed them around with our noses. Sometimes, they would start moving on their own from the breeze from the ceiling fan and they would startle us and keep us entertained, chasing them around the room.
When Wen brought out a party hat, I didn’t want to wear it, but all in all, it was a great birthday: a car ride, special treats, new toys, balloons, and some quality time on the couch. Happy Birthday to me!
