My sister, Molly, is spending a lot of time on the stairway landing lately. She sits there staring at the wall and appears to be listening intently.
There is a window above where she is sitting, so maybe she is hearing things that happen outside (like barking dogs) or maybe she is watching changing light patterns from the window. We don’t know because she isn’t talking.
We will all be in the living room and every once in a while, Molly will run up the stairs, sit on the landing, and assume her staring and listening position. Wen has investigated and even looked for “critters,” but found absolutely nothing, so whatever is so fascinating to Molly remains a mystery to the rest of us.
