Slurp, Slurp

Sadie’s tongue is slurping.
It slurps both north and south.
It slurps and slurps and flaps around
And goes back in her mouth!

Some dogs can raise their upper lips and smile, but it seems that all dogs have a happy face. You may or may not see our happy faces often, but you’ll definitely know it when you see them!
Have a happy day!

Someone’s been crafting and this time she’s been working on snowmen. Yes, Wen’s been painting and embellishing wooden snowmen and since it helps to have a model, I thought I’d step in. Okay, I may not look exactly like a snowman, but you get the idea!
I have a reputation of being a snuggler. When I find that Wen is sitting on the couch watching TV or reading, I jump up right next to her and settle in. Curling up next to her is nice and warm and very comforting to this Scottie boy. That’s why The Snuggler can be found snuggling every single day!
There are some photos that inspire great memories and while scrolling through pictures on her iPad from years ago, Wen came across this one of Sadie as a puppy. She was only about four months old when she showed up to join our Scottie crew and she was a little unsure of being around three adult wheatens, especially one day when Molly got in her face to tell her the rules of the house!
We Scotties have our favorite spots in our house where we like to settle in and have a good snooze. All three of us are partial to the couch and loveseat in the living room where Wen has covered them with quilted couch protectors and plush throws. I’d have to say that we have staked out the most comfortable spots in the house and we can be found there a lot.
Molly though has a particular spot that she has claimed at one end of the loveseat where she is practically a permanent fixture and every day and night she can either be found stretched out on the arm of the loveseat, or laying right next to the arm, where she can use it as a pillow. As a matter of fact, Molly’s favorite spot is never occupied by Sadie or me as if there’s an invisible off limits sign there that we respect. We Scotties all have our favorite spots and just like Sadie’s corner in the bedroom, Molly’s favorite spot is definitely owned by her!
Sadie is loving the new poofy bed that Wen bought for my Candy Cane Lane Adventure. The candy striped bed is smaller than our regular dog bed, but it’s very plush and comfortable. Plus, Sadie is smaller than Molly and me, so she fits in it better than we do, although sometimes she stretches out on the bed in odd positions. I guess if you’re all tuckered out, it doesn’t matter what position you sleep in.
It may be cold outside, but we Scotties are lovin’ the snow. After last week’s 15 inches plus the snow from the last two nights, we have quite an accumulation in our yard, thanks to frigid temperatures. At least the sun is out today, but it doesn’t really matter if it’s sunny or cloudy, because we Scotties will be out there making tracks regardless. Yep, we love the snow!
Happy 2023, everybody! Molly, Sadie, and I wish you a happy healthy new year. Let’s make this the happiest healthiest year ever!
Wen took this festive picture of Molly and me, but Sadie didn’t want to have anything to do with the colorful lights, so she took off to the farthest part of the house. As soon as the lights were gone though, she was back, so all three of us wish you all the best. Happy New Year!!!
Molly’s thinking about the upcoming new year. (Actually she’s wondering why the toy she just destroyed and left fluffy stuffing all over the floor was taken away). Have a safe and happy New Year’s Eve!
