My sisters, Molly and Sadie, aren’t just my buddies—they’re also my snuggle buddies. Everyone should have such great snuggle buddies to scooch up next to. Whether on the coach or our dog bed, it’s comforting to have your buddy or buddies next to you. What’s better than buddies sticking together?!

While It Lasts
There’s nothing like perfumed freshly groomed doggie haircoats and we Scotties are looking good right now, but give us a few days and things could change, depending on weather conditions and what we are up to in the backyard. Digging holes, eating dirt, and general rolling around in the grass could definitely affect our current good looks, so enjoy it while it lasts, because snow is in the forecast and we’ll be romping around, having a good old time!
Photo Op
Wen took us Scotties to visit Gigi, our groomer, the other day to get bathed and groomed for the holidays. Okay, it was our regular grooming appointment, but luckily, this year it fell before Christmas.
When we arrived, it looked very festive outside on the sidewalk. Gigi had set up a photo booth with live trees and Christmas decorations, so as you left, you could take holiday pictures of your freshly groomed dogs.
Did we take advantage of the photo op? Of course we did! Did we pose like models? Well, let’s just say that we took lots of shots and got a few good ones!
“It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas!”
There’s been a lot of holiday decorating going on here and like the song goes, “It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!”
It’s That Time Again!
Tomorrow is the Rocky Mountain Scottish Terrier Club’s annual Christmas lunch, so Wen has been busy working on Scottie crafts to sell to the members. She enjoys crafting and everything she makes, she sells at her cost, since her customers are her Scottie owner friends.
You can imagine that the Snoopervisor (That would be me.) has been working overtime watching as the craft decorations took shape. After all, nothing leaves this house without Scottie approval!
Let’s hope that all Wen’s hard work brings smiles to the Scottie club members tomorrow and the festive Scottie craft decorations find new homes!
16 Degrees
It’s a cold one today. Right now it’s 16 degrees, but we Scotties love to play in the snow and we are having so much fun outside that we are ignoring Wen each time she calls us to come inside. She knows that if we spend too long in the yard that we will start limping with frozen paws, but we’re enjoying ourselves, so she has to come outside and herd us back into the house. We Scotties can be stubborn though and when the yard is covered in a blanket of snow, even the offer of treats isn’t enough to lure us inside. 16 degrees doesn’t bother us!
Happy Pawlidays!
Every holiday season, Wen looks in the stores for Scottie items and she normally cones up with fun stuff. This year, however, Scottie items, with a few rare exceptions, have pretty much been nonexistent. I guess we Scotties are not popular like the Pugs, Labs, Frenchies, and Bostons that you seem to see on merchandise everywhere.
Scottie Christmas cards were harder to find this year too, so Wen was recently lamenting the lack of anything Scottie themed. The other day though, she came home with a Happy Pawlidays framed picture with a Scottie on it that is now prominently displayed with our Christmas decorations. The Scottie is kind of funky looking, but hey, at least it’s a Scottie picture that was an enexpected rare find. Happy Pawlidays!
Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁🦃🍁
Molly, Sadie, and I want to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving! We hope you have a wonderful day with family, friends, and lots of good eats! Just remember that we dogs can’t digest a lot of rich foods that can cause pancreatitis, so go easy on feeding us that rich food, even if we beg! With that word to the wise, everyone have a great day!
Cone Time
This is what happens when one of us Scotties starts to shake our head incessantly. Wen knows that means the beginning of an ear infection, so we get a good ear cleaning and medication. Then, to prevent further head shaking, we get the cone. Yep, an ear infection equals cone time around here and who was the latest lucky recipient? It was Molly and unlike Sadie and me, Molly hasn’t had to wear the cone since she was spayed nine years ago. She wasn’t thrilled when Wen put the cone on her head, but Molly is a trooper and she’s currently wearing it well. Hopefully the ear medication will work and by tomorrow, Molly will feel better and she won’t have the urge to shake her head anymore so the cone can come off. Let’s hope so!
Just one?
Please, could we have just one little treat? We’ve been good, so pretty please? Come on, just one?
