Scottie Eyes are Watching You!

Nothing sneaks by us Scotties!  Whatever’s going on, our noses are pointed in that direction and there are very few things that happen that we’re not interested in.  Even when we’re napping, our eyes will pop open at any sound, so remember this:  at our house, six brown Scottie eyes are watching you!

It’s Me, Riley!

It’s me, Riley, your favorite Scottie boy!  Okay, I’m your ONLY Scottie boy, but I’m still your favorite!  I just wanted to say “Good Morning” and get some special attention time like I do every morning, so here I am.  Can I interest you in scratching my back?

The Black Shadow Photobomber

It seems that we have a black shadow in our house who likes to sneak by just as Wen takes a photo.  This black shadow photobomber is usually caught on the run in the background of a photo and when she (Sadie, the photobomber) is on the move, she looks like a fuzzy black Scottie-shaped blob in photos.  Too bad she doesn’t stop and give a big smile.  Now that would be an awesome photo!

Did You Say “Treat?”

Our Scottie vocabulary is not super extensive, but when we hear certain words, they are guaranteed to make our ears perk up.  One of our favorite words is “treat,” because we know to expect a tasty morsel when we hear that word.  If you ever want to get our attention, just mention the word “treat” and we will come running!

Did you say “treat?”

We Won the Cup!!!

It has been a very exciting time at our house!  We are huge Colorado Avalanche fans and we have watched the Avs battle through three rounds of Stanley Cup playoffs.

Last night was the most stressful and thrilling game of all and when the last seconds ticked off, the Avs were the 2022 Stanley Cup Champions!  After their last win, 21 years ago, the Avs are finally bringing the Stanley Cup back to Denver.

It was a hard fought series against the two-time champion Tampa Bay Lightning, but the Avs prevailed and the chants of “We want the Cup!!!” turned into “We won the Cup!!!”

It’s Summer!

It’s summertime, summertime, sum sum summertime!  Yep, it’s finally summer, the time for ice cubes, running through the sprinklers, splashing in doggie swimming pools, and barbecue smells to drool for.  There are Frisbees and balls to chase, although we Scottie’s are not retrievers—we don’t bring them back—and when we hear the sound of the lawn mower and the trimmer, we know that there will be lots of freshly cut grass smell to sniff.

The summer season is when we ramp up our hole digging in the backyard and we keep Wen busy repairing the damage we do.  Sorry, but we Scotties, being that we are Terriers, are earth dogs and it’s part of our nature to be diggers.  Bring it on!  It’s summer and we’re ready for some summer action!
