On Memorial Day, we honor the United States military members who made the ultimate sacrifice to help protect our country’s freedom….
Birthday Girl
Guess who had a birthday yesterday?! Yep, it was Sadie’s big day and she’s now six years old. It’s hard to believe that she’s six already, because it seems like she just joined our family not long ago and she still acts pretty much like a goofy puppy! Happy birthday, Sadie! You’re keeping us all young, birthday girl!
A Bad Report
We Scotties have never gotten a bad report from Gigi, our groomer. Well, that changed as of yesterday! Gigi told Wen that she had no idea what had gotten into us, because we were definitely not our normal selves. We barked continuously and Sadie was the worst! She never shut up the entire time we were there!
Of course, Wen was appalled and embarrassed that we had behaved badly when she heard our bad report. Gigi thought that maybe the lunar eclipse had contributed to our unusual behavior, but Wen didn’t really buy that excuse and she apologized on our behalf and said she hoped we would never act like that again. I guess we’ll see….
It’s Cute, But….
Yeah, yeah, this pad is cute with Scotties on it, but it’s kinda small and it’s not as plush as our real dog bed. Plus, Molly is avoiding it like the plague! Could we possibly have our real dog bed back?
Let’s Get Ready, AVS Fans!
Today is Round 1, Game 4 of the playoffs and we’re excited for some more hockey action! Let’s get ready, AVS fans! Just a few hours until another thrilling game and we can hardly wait! LET’S GO AVS!!!
How Time Flies!
Six years ago today, my sister, Sunny, was on TV. Wen had submitted a photo of Sunny for Fox31’s Everyday Show Cute Pet of the Day and they showed her picture exactly six years ago today. Facebook sent us a reminder that the picture was our most liked photo of 2015. 2015! Seems like it was just yesterday! How time flies!
Hockey Fever
After an exciting Game 1 where the Colorado Avalanche beat the St. Louis Blues, hockey fever has ramped up at our house! Our Avalanche good luck charms are on display as well as our Stanley Cup memorabilia. We are eagerly awaiting Game 2, which has a late starting time tonight, but that doesn’t matter. We Avalanche fans are happy to stay up late to cheer on our favorite team! GO AVS GO!!’
LET’S GO AVS!!!
Who loves hockey? We love hockey!!! The Colorado Avalanche play the Blues in Game 1 of the first round of the NHL playoffs tonight. We are stoked and we’re ready for some exciting hockey action, especially since the AVS have the best record in the NHL and they won the President’s Trophy last week at the end of the regular season.
Okay, we’ve lined up all our Avs good luck charms for the playoffs as they start their run for the Stanley Cup. LET’S GO AVS!!!
Swiss Cheese Dog Bed
While she was cleaning, Wen tossed all our chew toys into our dog bed. What happened next? Sadie jumped onto the bed and started chewing on the toys. She chewed and she chewed and she not only chewed on the toys, but she chewed holes in the dog bed and there were pieces of stuffing everywhere! That dog bed had so many holes that it looked like Swiss cheese.
It’s good thing that we had an extra dog bed, because the Swiss cheese dog bed went right in the trash and sonebody learned a lesson that it probably wasn’t a good idea to put our chew toys in the dog bed from now on!
Upside Down
We Scotties are a small but sturdy breed. Since we are compact and have short legs, we can easily relax by lying on our backs with our legs up in the air. People seem to think that we look funny lying upside down, but it’s just another way for us to get comfortable, sort of like when we lie on our stomachs with our rear legs stretched out behind us, which is called a sploot.
Sadie, lies on her back constantly and she takes naps upside down, while Molly and I rarely assume that position. I suppose we prefer to sploot rather than lie upside down.
