Furry Scurry Day

The Furry Scurry was today!  The Denver Dumb Friends League sponsors an annual two-mile walk at Washington Park on the first Saturday of each May and today was the day.  Wen and I joined the thousands of people and dogs who walked around the park this morning, participating in the DFL’s largest fundraiser of the year for the homeless pets in their shelters.

Since it was my first time at a huge dog event, Wen was a little apprehensive about my behavior, but I actually behaved myself among all of those dogs and didn’t get snarky one time!

During our walk through the park with an amazing variety of dogs, we saw lots of terriers, but sadly, no other Scotties.  What a disappointment!

All in all, it was a very festive event with all of the vendors, demonstrations, and music.  By the time that we walked through the neighborhood to the car, I was tired and could hardly keep my eyes open during the trip home.

The Furry Scurry was a new exciting experience, but now I need a nap!
