Yesterday was a really special day for me because Wen and her friend took me along on another day trip to Lake Dillon. It totally made up for the day we were there last week when it rained, the Dillon Water Taxi wasn’t running, and I spent a lot of time in the car. Yesterday, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect and we all got to go for a fun boat ride.
We sat on the dock at the Dillon Marina, watching all the boats and waiting for the water taxi to arrive and when it docked, I was dressed in my life vest and ready to go for a boat ride.
The pontoon boat taxi cruised across the lake to the Frisco Bay Marina and then back to Dillon and although it was my first boat ride, I rode like a pro!
After our awesome relaxing boat ride, we headed over to the outdoor lakeside Tiki Bar, where Wen and her friend enjoyed eating lunch on the deck and I sat by their table, snarffed a few treats, and checked out the other diners and their dogs. It was great to hang out on the lakeside deck where dogs were allowed.
Eventually, we drove over to the Frisco Bay Marina to check out the art fair at the town fall festival. It was super crowded in he park and we walked around dodging lots of people and dogs while a live band played jazz.
By then, it was about time to head home, so we made a quick stop at the outlet mall in Silverthorne and that’s about the last thing I can remember, because I slept all the way home in the back of the car.
All in all, our day at the lake was really fun and I was so exhausted that right after dinner, I fell sound asleep on the couch. Hopefully, since I behaved pretty well yesterday, I will get to go on another day trip really soon!
