Our Scottie “Houses”

The three of us Scotties are privileged to live in a house in the suburbs and each have our very own private residence (big wire cage) inside of that house.

Not that long ago, when Molly and I were little puppies, Wen put a big wire cage for each of us in the living room so when she couldn’t keep a close eye on us or had to leave the house we would be in our cages, which would keep us honest as far as house training and causing damage in general.

All of the MacDuffs since Casey, Buffy, and Poo, have been crate trained and have had either a large airline crate or a wire cage to call home.  Each one of us knows which “house”  (cage) is ours and it is a rare occasion when one of us goes sniffing around someone else’s “house” (such as part of a treat left inside).

All of our cages are now in the bedroom where Wen can hear if one of us gets sick or has an issue in the middle of the night.  It’s a good feeling for all of us knowing that everyone’s near by.

Wen has the extra added assurance of knowing exactly where we are when she leaves the house.  We’re each in our own “house” with a comfortable dog bed, towels, and a water bowl.  No one will be doing anything untoward while she is away, because our cages are keeping us honest and also safe and sound.
