You could say that the roots of our MacDuff clan can be traced back to 1978, when Wen and her husband brought their first Scottie puppy home from the breeder, the original MacDuff.
“Duffy” was a stocky Texas puppy with a gorgeous brindle pattern–a true independent Scot who loved to play rough! He was a typical rowdy Scottie puppy for several months until he developed problems breathing and he began to tire easily.
At the time, no one knew that Duffy had been born with a congenital heart defect and he died suddenly while still a puppy. It was a very sad beginning to the story of the MacDuffs.
