Most of the time when we Scotties ride in the car, we either ride in our portable crates or our airline crates. I got a big bonus on our trip to Dillon the other day because I got to ride shotgun. My airline crate was in the back of the car, but Wen decided that if I would behave and not try to sit in her lap while she was driving, I could ride in the front seat.
Of course, I did try to sit on the console once so I could see out the front window, but I quickly returned to my place on the front seat after Wen gave me “the look” and when we were stopped on the highway in a traffic delay, I stood up on my seat to see what was happening.
It was a treat to go on a day trip and ride shotgun for a change. That will never happen if all three of us Scotties go for a ride though, because three loose Scotties in the car can certainly be a hazard!
